Skills showcased:
Brand storytelling · Scriptwriting · Video production oversight · On-site coordination · Cross-functional collaboration · Photography · Sales enablement
Role: Script Development, Creative Direction, On-Site Production & Photography
Overview
This project was created to highlight how Cablcon delivers customized fiber optic cable solutions designed to meet the unique demands of each customer.
The video was intended to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the people, process, and craftsmanship that set Cablcon apart — bringing authenticity and transparency to the brand story.
The Challenge
Fiber optic manufacturing and customization can be difficult to communicate in a way that feels approachable and engaging.
The video needed to:
Educate without becoming overly technical
Highlight customization and craftsmanship
Feel authentic and human — not scripted or promotional
Support multiple marketing and sales use cases
My Role
I partnered closely with a Cablcon team member to co-author the video script, ensuring the narrative balanced technical accuracy with storytelling.
In addition, I:
Collaborated with internal stakeholders on messaging direction
Traveled onsite to Texas to oversee the video shoot
Worked directly with a third-party videographer during production
Coordinated shot planning and on-site logistics
Captured still photography simultaneously during filming
Produced images later used across the website and sales collateral, including flyers and PowerPoint presentations
The Solution
By combining thoughtful scripting with on-site creative direction, the final video delivered a genuine look into how Cablcon works — emphasizing expertise, flexibility, and customer-focused solutions.
The supporting photography extended the value of the shoot, providing authentic visuals that continue to support digital and sales materials beyond the video itself.
